GEOGRAPHY PROGRAM

Welcome to the Geography Department at California State University, Fullerton.

We offer BA and MA degrees in Geography as well as a minor. Approximately 70 undergraduate and 20 graduate students are majoring in geography at the present time.

Geography Students at GraduationThe overall goals of the program are outlined in the department's Statement of Learning Goals for the Undergraduate Degree in Geography. The BA degree includes work in human, physical and regional geography, as well as geographical techniques such as cartography and GIS. The Geography MA degree includes a core of three courses: Geographic Methods; Human Geography; Physical Geography. The core is supplemented by additional coursework at the 400 and 500 level. To complete the degree, students choose between a thesis option or a comprehensive written examination.
